A lot of children’s smile at the evacuation shelter. They don’t know when they could be allowed to go school and back to their home. But they’re smiling and trying to struggle this situation. Yesterday, Kilauea volcano just erupted. We truly hope the situation is getting be better soon.
The disaster area “Lailani”. There are some cracks, and some roads are closed by lava. Nobody knows when the inhabitant could come back to their home town where is still filled with sulfur dioxide.
The children set up a tent for an art workshop. After that one of the children started to draw the picture of a tree called “Ohia” which could be able to live and make blooming beautiful flower even near the volcano.
Calbee, inc. donated the polo shirts. At the workshop the children wore it and drew the pictures. Always Calbee potato chips make the children happy!
Art workshop held at Otaru Unga Park. Few children were curious to use paintings for the first time. Another girl said “I haven’t used it since I was kindergarten!” In the middle of the workshop, they ran around and took breaks. But everyone came back to paint once again. Once and twice weren’t enough!
From April 20th to June 2nd, the painting which is “Kids Helping Kids” drawing by the children of Cambodia, Vietnam, Palestine, Turkish, Tohoku and Kumamoto in Japan is exhibited near the ceiling of the Grill at Hyatt Regency Kyoto.
