Art workshop with Syrian refugee children at Turkish Red Crescent located in Bagcilar, Istanbul. They were so quiet at first but gradually making their favorite colors and had a fun time. They are acquiring literacy in Turkish language to accustomed to new land.
Day2 Art workshop at Ein el-Sultan UNRWA school and observing Aqbat Jabr camp located in the Jordan Valley and borders Jericho. Children draw whatever they want to express in one big canvas wishing for freedome and hope as well as houses and mosques where they find peace within.
Day 1 at Ein el-Sultan UNRWA school in Palestine. Students tried their very best to express their love, compassion and hope. They didn’t stop asking if we’d come back tomorrow again.
During “The Future of the Harp” exhibition, we displayed artwork created by the children while a wonderful harp and cello concert was being performed. Through music and the colours on the canvas, the feelings being expressed reached everyone in attendance.
